Meeting with your financial aid advisor
Request the details of your financial aid package to determine your scholarships, loans, grants, and other aid. After they calculate your aid, they will call you to schedule an appointment. They will help you determine what aid can go with you and what you will need to pay out of pocket. Get a list of the aid that will transfer. This will be used on the Study Abroad Budget and Financial Aid Handout. The Study Abroad Office can then help you find a program and scholarships that meets your budget.
Consider the following when you meet with you financial aid advisor:
- How are you going to pay for your study abroad experience?
- Will you need any financial aid?
- Will you apply for scholarships?
