Global Engagement
Global Engagement provides opportunities for the Widener community to engage with the global community. We support our international community with immigration support services and programming. The Study Abroad Office supports students and faculty through the entire process of engaging in faculty-led trips and study abroad/away experiences, from application to re-entry.
Students of all majors are encouraged to study abroad or study away. We offer a portfolio of high-quality educational programs and exchanges. Study Abroad and Study Away Programs are immersive cultural experiences that enhance students’ educational experiences, foster their development as global citizens, provide opportunities for personal growth, and teach the skills needed to compete in an increasingly interconnected world.
Types of Programs
- Semester Study Abroad
Use an external study abroad provider for a full semester abroad
- Short-Term or Faculty-Led Study Abroad
Study abroad with Widener professors through Short-term Study Abroad opportunities
- Study Away
Study Away domestically at participating 160+ campuses across the U.S. Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, & U.S. Virgin Islands through the National Student Exchange
